Ashes Caravan park is under new ownership and is all about you - a five star site offering tranquility and convenience, nestled as it is in the small Cumbrian village of New Hutton, between the M6 and Kendal. A great location to explore the historic market town of Kendal but the beautiful English Lake District too.
Facilities include all-weather hard-standings with electric hook-ups, roomy hot showers, WiFi and boosted digital TV signal. There are lovely views of southern Cumbria and walks from the site. Dogs on leads are welcome and an exercise area for dogs has been made available too.

Riverside Tourer Caravan Park - just for grown ups
This riverside caravan park at the northern tip of the Lake District National Park is a secret I'm happy to share with you!
Owner/Manager John Bell has created a dream site - incorporating all of the best. From fabulous facilities to its scenic location and easily accessible location (via a straight access road from the M6). Add to that the added tranquility of being for grown ups only and you'll realise what a gem of a find The Riverside Park is.
The site is created to provide spacious pitches and there are separate areas so that Caravan and Motorhome Members and non-members can all enjoy John's hospitality. He has gone the extra mile to plant hedges for privacy and put up feeders for the native red squirrels.
Everything is done with you in mind and nothing is scrimped. The dedicated dog walk is flood-lit, the recycle points are very user friendly and you are asked to go environmentally friendly with there are designated member and non-member spacious loo and hot showers free of charge too.

Low Moor Head Adults only Caravan Park
(Certified site - Caravan Club members only)
Book early to avoid disappointment is the advice for this award winning, members only and adults only caravan park. You'll find Low Moor just a few miles from Carlisle, practically on the border of England and Scotland, perfect for the Solway Coast as well as northern Cumbria and even Gretna Green!
The site is open all year round and there are some hard-standing pitches, WiFi and electric hook-ups with a good TV signal. Facilities on site are disable friendly too. Dogs on leads are welcome and a dog-exercise area is available just a few yards from the site.
The rural location giving you tranquility but within half a mile of Longtown which not only has award winning Fish and Chips! but pubs and a post office and launderette too.

This site overlooking majestic Skiddaw is open to caravaners and campers..but is for adults only. The owners tend not to overbook all the pitches on the site to allow everyone their privacy and to enjoy the tranquility.
Wildlife is in abundance here and the location makes exploring the northern fells and Solway coast very accessible. Dogs on leads are welcomed too.
A small indoor pool is available for guest use and a daily needs shop for everyday groceries. Wigton is just a ten minute drive if you wish to stock up more or fancy a pub snack. About half an hour away by car Keswick is a pretty town to explore and shop at and of course has its wonderful Theatre by the Lake too.
Hook-ups and both grass and hard-standings are available. A well thought out toilet and shower block includes hair dryer and a unisex unit which allows wheel-chair users ease of access too. A laundry room is also available on site complete with dryer and iron.
This is what Dr. Brown says about their site "A sheltered glade 'twixt lakes and fells', for only five caravans or motor homes. A quiet and peaceful site, no tents and no children!
There you have it in a nutshell. A fabulous location on the west side of Windermere between Newby Bridge and Hawkshead; the site is open all year subject to snow/ice/flooding.
Facilities include electricity/water/chemical disposal and recycle facilities. Dogs are welcome and a dog exercise area is available. Sky Free to air box and cable are available on request but note that TV is not possible from this location.
A specific request is the you don't drive or park on the grass without permission to do so.

Horn House Farm is noted for its fabulous views of the Northern fells and wonderful sunsets.
Pitches are generous and, both grass and hard standing are available. Dogs on leads are welcome. Shower and toilet block includes disable friendly facilities. Just a few 100 yards from the site local amenities include a Post Office, small shop with essentials and papers and a Pub serving food.
In addition to exploring Cumbria and The Solway Coast the Holme Cultral Medieval Abbey which dates back to 1150 and founded by the Cistercian Monks is also close by.
