Six beautifully crafted Lodges just a few miles south of the southern tip of Windermere, England's largest lake
Owners note:
Fly-fishing is available on the lake (environmental licence required ) on a catch and release basis - one rod per lodge - additional costs for additional rods and to keep caught fish.
Due to the proximity of the Lake, the Hot Tubs and the Fly Fishing - children must be supervised at all times
Please note that these lodges have a Good Housekeeping bond of £100
Toad Mire is the only Lodge on the estate which has complete lake frontage and the positioning of the Hot Tub on the decking, means you don't need to forsake the lake views whilst you are enjoying a bubbly relaxation and keeping you in with a chance of catching a glimpse of the resident Otter and perhaps Osprey too.
More information of Toad Mire including additional photos, glowing reviews from previous guests and of course availability can be found just here.
Neddy Cut has wheelchair access, with a ramp to the front door. One of the bedrooms has also been designed to be wheelchair friendly with the en-suite shower having a seat included. You will see from the photographs that the hot tub, which is kept private via a traditional Lakeland dry stone wall, is accessed via steps from the decking.

Previous guests of Tewets have been lucky enough to catch a glimpse of the hare after whom this lodge was named. Backing on to woodland which is a panorama of bluebells in the spring. The Hot Tub is kept private by its own traditional lakeland stone wall.

Billy Boo has a higher elevation and also backs onto the open fells where the Belted Galloways graze. It also has its own Hot Tub at the rear of the property at the base of a natural rock face and enclosed by a traditional dry stone wall for privacy.

Silly Knott is at the far corner of the park and has its own private south facing garden to the rear; the hot-tub is enclosed in a traditional Lakeland stone wall and the garden is a perfect sun-trap on a warm summers day.
Further photographs and more detailed information of Silly Knott, including guest reviews and availability can be found right here.
Horse Spout has a partial Lake view from the decking and hot tub and also from two of the bedrooms. It is in a rather enviable location as it looks over its own sloping lawn towards woodlands and also backs on to woodland which is a carpet of bluebells and wild garlic during the spring. I think there is nowhere quite like Cumbria for smelling the beautiful aroma of wild garlic...but perhaps I am biased?
Further photographs, glowing guest reviews and finer details of Horse Spout can be found along with availability just here.
Elm Lodge is ideal for a family of four or maybe just a couple wanting to get away from it all, to one of Cumbria's quieter corners yet from here easy access to the beautiful Lake District. The historic market town of Ulverston with its links to Laurel and Hardy is just three miles from the lodge.
The Hot Tub with its wonderful views over rural Cumbrian landscape is a real winner here and previous guests have left glowing reviews. You can read their reviews, as well as check the finer details and availability, just here.
Oak Lodge is just three miles from the historic market town of Ulverston which is also home to the Laurel and Hardy museum. In one of the quieter corners of Cumbria (yet with easy access to explore the Lakes) the Lodge has glowing reviews and boasts its own private Hot Tub.
More details and photographs in addition to availability of Oak Lodge can be found here.
Owner's note:
* There is a step up to the decked area and then one further step into the lodge
* The Hot Tub may not be up to full temperature at the time of your arrival. The owner will however do his utmost to ensure that it is ready, but due to the maintenance required during each changeover, there is a chance it may not be.
This cosy lodge for 2 with a Hot Tub is well away from the Tourist Hot-Spots, yet still handy enough to go and explore the Lakes and of course you can explore all that the historic market town has to offer too... if you are a Laurel and Hardy fan then you really are in for a treat.
The Cumbrian way is just one of the many walking opportunities locally and this area is popular with cyclists too
