We normally stay in Grasmere in January, to celebrate our wedding anniversary and the newly refurbished rooms look perfect for that touch of luxury. January is the perfect time to stay in Grasmere as we practically have the place to ourselves. Our only problem is finding somewhere interesting to eat, after a great day walking on the fells, without having to drive miles.
One of the advantages of Dale Lodge Hotel is that you can chose between the Hotel restaurant and the more informal Tweedies Bar, which I have to say looks like the perfect retreat after a day on the Fells.
I will endeavour to stay there soon and report back!
Disabled facilities Room 4, at the Dale Lodge Hotel is a purpose built 'disabled facility room'. The room has an en-suite bathroom suitable for wheel chair users. For easy access it is situated on the ground floor within easy reach of the hotel lounge and restaurant. It is quietly situated at the rear of the hotel overlooking the garden.

Moss Grove Hotel

If you are after old-fashioned luxury then the Wordsworth Hotel often has some
