In addition to BHS riding lessons and pony trekking for the whole family, Bigland Hall have spent the past few years actively promoting the use of all the old packhorse routes around Cumbria resulting in some of the most amazing Trial Riding Holidays presently avavilable in the UK.
Trail rides follow exciting and scencic routes from as far east as the Ullswater Valley through to the Langdale area and South West of Lake Coniston.
Rides can be planned to suit the needs and differing abilities of clients; enabling all abilities to experience the wonders of the Lake District on horseback. Challenging rides high up in the Lakeland Fells to more relaxed, rides at a lower level pace taking in the many Lakes, lowland passes and bridleways.
Lake District Fell Riding
Each of the trail riding holidays are planned meticulously for both the horse and rider. Lunchtime and evening stops are pre-arranged and their 'backup' bring feed and equipment for the horses. Riders can relax and enjoy the superb food and beverages from a wide variety of Lakeland Pubs and Inns. Nightly accommodation is pre-booked to suit clients own tastes and budgets which can either be in one of the many excellent Bed and Breakfasts dotted throughout the area, or for that special treat they can advise on some of the best Hotels and Resorts to stay at which can include swimming pools and sauna's for the tired rider.
